Are you aware that Borders Books is going to close 200 Walden bookstores in 2010 and planning to dump all the books in landfills? I hope you can intervene and put all this merch to good use.

IT REALLY HURTS ME TO SEE BOOKS OF ANY KIND GOING TO THE LANDFILLS.. I ATTEND AL THE LOCAL LIBRARY SALES AND BUY WHAT I CAN AFFORD.. I ALSO GO TO THE THRIFT STORES AND BUY BOOKS, SOME I SELL ON AMAZON TO REPLACE FUNDS SO I CAN CONTINUE STOPPING THE WASTE OF READING MATERIAL.. MANY I GIVE AWAY TO FRIENDS,, IN THE HOPE THEY WILL READ AND PASS ON. I RECEIVE SOME BOOKS FROM FRIENDS ALSO.. I PASS SOME ON TO MY DAUGHTER WHO LIVES IN ANOTHER STATE AND SHE GIVES THEM TO NURSING HOMES IN HER AREA… I CAN REMEMBER EARLY WWII WHEN THE NAZI’S BURNED MANY BOOKS….

Has this been forwarded to Oprah’s staff? I would love to see her do a program on BWB, and with her support of African literacy this coordination with BFA would be a great piece!
