If you are wondering if I am studiously ignoring Twilight, I am.  But if you’re a fan, don’t get mad at me… I’m only ignoring it because it has already gotten plenty of play and I wanted to share some awesome alternatives for lovers of the other-worldly who have already read all of Twilight!  So – today, I thought I’d take a dip into the vast world of Young Adult Occult.  (I dare you to say that three times fast!).

For those of you who are huge Kim Harrison fans… I apologize for taking this long to get around to her work.  Today’s pick is the first in the The Hollows series and begins the story of witch and bounty hunter Rachel Morgan.

I’m a little under the weather today and feeling like the walking undead – so I thought why not go back to Zombies?  We’ve done classic horror – now let’s do classic mixed with horror:
