BWB @Lilith: Up close and personal with Sarah McLachlan
Posted by admin on 08.27.2010 at 7:30 am
While on tour this summer with Lilith – everyone got to know everyone quite well. We spent many days in our [i4c] Campaign tent with Pema Teeter from Alter-Eco Fair Trade and Organic Foods. Pema had the amazing opportunity to sit down and chat with Lilith founder Sarah McLachlan about life and music and giving back. Enjoy!

Lilith Behind the Scenes: Meeting Sarah!!
Posted by Abbey on 07.13.2010 at 1:41 pm
During the Portland show, rumors were circling around the sponsor village that we might get to meet Sarah McLachlan before the doors opened in the venue.
It was a long day for all of us, we had just crossed the US/Canada border and were scrambling around for new shipments and various other pieces of tent-gear. The atmosphere was slightly frantic. There is an incredible amount of work that goes into setting up these tent villages at fairs.
It was about 2:10pm and doors were scheduled to open in 20 minutes. The chances of a Sarah sighting were looking pretty slim and I hadn’t eaten since the night before. I finally decided “Ok guys, well it doesn’t look like she’s showing and I’m hungry so I’m- “ but I noticed people looking past me so I turned around and she just appeared all of a sudden (I mean really, I don’t even know where she came from) and was shaking my hand and introducing herself to me!
She was ushered into our tent briefly by a couple of people from her staff and was extremely friendly. She shared our passion for social entrepreneurship and really had a nice down-to-earth conversation with the group before being whisked away to another sponsor tent. She is a perfect example of just how real artists and performers can be. Gracious, friendly, humble- Awesome.

Lilith B Stage & BWB Stage
Posted by Abbey on 07.08.2010 at 12:00 am
A lot of Lilith happens on the B & C Stages in the Village where our booth is set up. Here are a few clips of some fun B Stage acts – just a couple minutes – interspersed with video and photos of the concert grounds and activity around our booth.
…yes, she really did sing that at the end of the song (see video).

On the road with Lilith Fair- Week 1
Posted by Abbey on 06.30.2010 at 4:42 pm
After a collective 31 hours on a music festival tour bus and the sinful consumption of fair-trade chocolates by the lb, I have one successful week of Lilith Fair Music Touring under my belt. It all started in the quaint but cozy South Bend Regional Airport. My flight to Minneapolis was short, the layover an ample 1 ½ hours, or so I thought. You savvy business and vacation travelers out there probably breeze through these layovers with great ease and confidence. I however, now know that when you see tram rides offered between concourses, you better take them. That “swift and healthy” walking option quickly turns into a rush for your gate. No worries, I obviously made it and the flight to Vancouver was comfortable and breathtaking.
