We love books. We love buying them (lucky for us, we’re a bookseller!) and we love selling them (see previous comment). But if you’ve known us for long, you know we love giving books away.
Last holiday season, with an abundance of books and the spirit of giving—a winning combination, in our opinion—we loaded up about 5,500 books a few days before Christmas and set up ‘shop’ at the University Park Mall in Mishawaka, Indiana. We packed them up at our warehouse up the road, drove them over, and gave them away to local holiday shoppers out seeking gifts for their loved ones.
As you can see, the books were a hit! Many shoppers browsing the tables were grateful for our outreach in the community, saying that their money situation was very tight and they were unsure if they would be able to get presents for their children.
We think a book makes a great gift, no matter the season, and we were happy to have been a part of our hometown’s holiday gift-giving.
Have you ever been given a book as a gift that had a meaningful impact on your life? Let us know in the comments.
I used to send books using a shipping label that I was able to print from your website. I didn’t see that capability this time. Is it no longer available? I live in California and do not see a local drop box on the site.

Can I not print a shipping label any longer
BWB really has to lift their game. This used to be a really stress free site to buy stuff once. The last few months, I’m sick of clicking on “Add to Cart” button and it not working. OR saying it’s sold, when it indicates it’s still available. So jack of it!
Perhaps I’m missing something, but I can’t find how to make book donations TO “Better World Books.” I know there used to be a link. And I have bunches of books I’d like to find out if BWB could accept. HELP, please! Thanks.
I am unable to navigate your multiple sites to see how to contact someone to tell them of the books I would like to donate with proceeds to go to the University of Rochester library. Ii don’t even know if you would be interested as they are classics, over 100 years old, in excellent condition that I don’t use anymore. If there is someone that I can contact about these, please give me the information. Thanks,
William E. Powell, M.D.

I recently was advised about your website and program. Sound wonderful. I live in the Minneapolis/St Paul , Minnesota area and I saw that there are drop boxes in Roseville. I have checked the Roseville site and found nothing. I don’t know about the Stillwater one yet. Is the program still active and are there any other drop boxes .Please advise.
Thank you.
