Last year we partnered with Books Between Kids, an initiative in Houston to inject about 69,000 books into the community, which were then sorted, organized by category, and counted by volunteers that wanted to help support local literacy. The end result including other donations was that 12,000 children in the Houston area were able to go home with 6 books each, just in time for summer break.
This year we doubled our donation to Books Between Kids, sending 144,000 books to give out at the event. Photos from the event have started coming in, and we wanted to share some images of your impact. (After all, we couldn’t donate books without your purchases!)
