Happy Bloomsday!

intro-bloomsday
We’re always game for a good literary holiday. According to the James Joyce Center website:

“Bloomsday celebrates Thursday 16 June 1904 as that day is depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, the central character in Ulysses.”

It is also believed to be the day that Joyce went out with his future wife for the first time. So, to celebrate, readers and revelers follow the footsteps of Joyce’s characters. If you’re not out on your own celebration, you can follow their updates on Twitter.

And if you’ve never read Ulysses, you can get it here as always.
