There are over 793,000,000 adults on our planet who are illiterate and over 67,000,000 children who are not able to attend school.*
I don’t know about you, but I cannot imagine one billion of anything. So one billion people that cannot read, write or have the chance to learn in school is shocking, frightening and incredibly disturbing to me.
At Better World Books, we believe literacy and education are a right for all people. We believe in the right to read. And because of that, we donate a portion of all revenue to game-changing education organizations.
But we don’t want to be the only ones identifying, sourcing, and deciding which non-profits to support, so we are opening up the grant process to you – our amazing customers, book donors and fans.
