2014 LEAP Grant applications are live!

LEAP GrantsIt’s that time of year again. We are ecstatic to announce that the application phase for 2014 LEAP Grants (Literacy and Education in Action) is now open.

If you represent a library or a nonprofit organization and you’ve got a great idea for game-changing project that will impact literacy and education locally, we urge you to apply today.

Libraries

$40,000 in funding is available; maximum grant amount per project is $15,000. Interested libraries can apply by following the instructions on this page and completing the application form. All applications are due by April 4th at 4pm ET. During the Selection Period selected libraries may be contacted by Better World Books for interviews or to provide additional project details as part of the evaluation process.

Nonprofit Organizations

$15,000 in funding is available, and the maximum grant amount per project is $7,500. There will be at least two winners — one voted on by our community of customers and fans, a second picked by Better World Books.

To apply, follow the instructions on this page and fill out the application form by April 4th at 4pm ET.

During the Selection Period, applicants may be contacted by Better World Books for interviews or to provide additional project details as part of the evaluation process. If your project goes on to become one of the finalists, we will also contact you for photos and videos of the literacy project that we can post as part of the public voting phase.
