Looking for a way to encourage your young library visitors to read this summer? Then look no further than the DOGObooks Summer Reading Program sponsored by Better World Books. DOGObooks.com, the largest website dedicated to kids’ reading and book reviews-by-and-for children, has built an online program that rewards both kids and schools for reading and reviewing books. The four month online program will launch at the start of Children’s Book Week on May 13th and run through mid-September.
With the help of its children’s book publisher partners, DOGObooks has assembled a catalog of 84 popular titles of books for grades 3-8. By reading and posting 3 reviews of 25 words or more on DOGObooks kids will receive their choice of a free book from a prize catalog made up of over 100 selected titles from the leaders in children’s publishing. Better World Books is also awarding a 20% coupon for reviewers plus a prize of 200 books each for the top ten schools with the most reviews.
A dedicated area on DOGObooks.com will host the Summer Reading and Review Program. A simple signup form with a dropdown menu of grammar and middle schools, plus write-ins, has been developed. Kids will be able to keep track of their progress and see which books are most popular as reviews and as prizes.

I also do love a story with a moral to it and lessons to be learn and this sounds like it led your children to their own conclusions. I found Bella’s Ball Story ebook to be such a cute read, I think a lot of little girls would love it! Younger kids tend to lose interest in books when there aren’t many pictures to look at, so I think more art work would help spark their imagination and keep their interest.
