The CILIP Conference is a real highlight for Better World Books.  This year the  CILIP Conference was hosted in the impressive St. George’s Hall, Liverpool, with exhibitors presenting their services in The Great Hall.  It is an excellent opportunity to meet both new and existing library clients and to share what’s happening across the library market.

So much has happened since the last Conference- we were able to share Better World Books impacts for literacy as well as the latest news of the Better World Books LEAP Grants.

Each year delegates vote for the Best Stand Award and we were really delighted to receive the award this year.

Here’s a photo of Vanessa Jones from Better World Books receiving the award from the Chair of Council, Martyn Wade in the Concert Room on the last day of the conference.

Martin Mullin, Head of Acquisitions, UK reflected on the award,  “To be voted Best Stand Award is a real honour.  The whole team are really pleased and grateful to the delegates for voting for us.  Here at Better World Books we really believe in making a stand for literacy – working closely with the library community enables us to make a real difference to local literacy around the world. We’re already looking forward to Brighton.”
